Terms & Conditions
Last updated: August 5, 2026
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern purchases and rentals from CineBear LLC (“CineBear,” “we,” “us”), 29021 Avenue Sherman, Unit 101, Valencia, CA 91355. By placing an order on cinebear.shop you agree to these Terms. Questions? Gear@CineBear.LA or (661) 310-9699.
1. Custom Shop & Retail Purchases
Made-to-order items. Custom-designed products (lens caps, Pelican case tags, UV-printed items, and other personalized goods) are manufactured specifically for you from the design you submit. Because they are personalized, custom items are not returnable or refundable except when they arrive damaged or defective, or materially differ from the approved design. Report problems within 14 days of delivery to Gear@CineBear.LA with photos and we will repair, reprint, or refund at our discretion.
Your design, your rights. When you submit a design through the CineBear Designer, you confirm that you own or are licensed to use all text, logos, and artwork in it, and you grant CineBear a license to manufacture the item for you. You are solely responsible for any third-party trademark or copyright claims arising from artwork you supply.
Stock items. Non-personalized items (e.g., BearStud™ mounts, pre-labeled lens caps) may be returned unused in original packaging within 30 days; outbound shipping is non-refundable and return shipping is the customer’s responsibility. See our Refund & Returns Policy.
Production & shipping. Custom items are typically produced and shipped within 5–10 business days. Shipping charges are calculated at checkout by destination; free local pickup is available at our Valencia shop. Risk of loss passes to the carrier on our handoff; we will assist with carrier claims for insured shipments.
BearStud™ products are compatible with LEGO® minifigures. LEGO® is a trademark of the LEGO Group, which does not sponsor, authorize, or endorse CineBear products.
2. Equipment Rentals
Insurance required. Rental orders require a Certificate of Insurance (COI) naming CineBear LLC as Loss Payee and Additional Insured, on file before pickup, covering the full replacement value of the rented equipment for the entire rental period. Details and an example are on our Insurance page. Questions about COIs: COI@CineBear.LA.
Renter responsibility. From pickup until return, you are responsible for the equipment. You are liable for loss, theft, and damage beyond normal wear, up to full replacement value, regardless of fault, to the extent not covered by your insurance.
Rental period, pickup & return. Rates are per day as shown at booking. Equipment is picked up and returned at our Valencia location during business hours unless otherwise arranged. Late returns are billed at the daily rate per day until returned. Equipment must be returned complete and in the condition received; missing accessories are billed at replacement cost.
Cancellations. Rental reservations may be cancelled without charge up to 48 hours before the scheduled pickup; later cancellations may be charged one day’s rate.
Fitness for purpose. We test and prep all equipment before release, but you are responsible for verifying that the equipment suits your production’s needs during pickup or prep.
3. Payments & Pricing
Payments are processed at checkout by our payment provider. All prices are in US dollars; applicable California sales tax is added at checkout. We may correct obvious pricing errors and cancel affected orders with a full refund. Promotional pricing may change without notice.
4. Service Work
Camera and lens service is billed at the posted hourly or flat rates after an initial evaluation. Estimates are good-faith projections, not fixed quotes; we will contact you before exceeding an estimate materially. Equipment left unclaimed 90 days after completed service may be subject to storage fees.
5. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, CineBear’s total liability for any claim arising from a purchase, rental, or service is limited to the amount you paid for the item or rental giving rise to the claim. CineBear is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, including lost production time, lost footage, or lost profits.
6. General
These Terms are governed by California law; venue for disputes is Los Angeles County, California. If any provision is unenforceable, the remainder stays in effect. We may update these Terms from time to time; the version posted at the time of your order applies. Our Privacy Policy and, where applicable, SMS Terms also apply.
